Stanford Stadium (not shown) looks to be ready by the time the season starts, so says Bill Walsh, while the Cardinal looks to rebound from its loss to UC-Davis. Yahoo! Sports has a major feature on college football, though this is a little bit away from now. California (surprise!) looks to battle USC for leadership of the Pac-10. The first game is against the Vols of Tennessee on September 2nd at Tennessee. California reloaded by adding the offensive coordinator from Northwestern U. who implemented the spread offense there, so it looks to be a pretty full arsenal.
