MySpace Talk at Kepler's
>

Julia Angwin of the WSJ is giving a talk about MySpace and how it emerged from eUniverse/Intermix at Kepler's in Menlo Park. I just found out about it NOW otherwise I would have been sure to grab an espresso at adjacent Caffe Borrone and sit through the talk, hopefully not asking too many questions or interrupting.

I'm about 1 mile away in Atherton so I could have jammed over there in a couple of minutes. eUniverse was pretty much unknown back in the day....unless you were a geek. Plus, if you said "Internet Content" in 2002 or 2003 VC's usually would pull out a flamethrower and tell you to get lost. But just think, other weird projects are going on now that will be just as big or bigger, in hindsight.

The author lectures over there are worthwhile, I happened to catch Francis Ford Coppola's wife Eleanor Coppola talking about her book there a few months back, just by chance. It was called Notes on a Life, a memoir.
